“I’m in the business of making people happy.”
- Kelly O’Neil
There's a moment in every project when a home stops being a collection of rooms and becomes somewhere that belongs entirely to the people living in it. Finding that moment, and making it happen on purpose, is what Kelly O'Neil has spent her career doing.
Kelly is the founder and principal designer of Kelly O'Neil Design, a boutique luxury interior design studio based in Wellington, Florida. Over the years she has built a reputation across Palm Beach County for work that is at once impeccably crafted and deeply livable, interiors that look beautiful in photographs and feel even better in person.
The accolades reflect it. Kelly is a four-time recipient of the Best of Palm Beach Award in the Interior Design category; a distinction earned not once, but repeatedly, by clients who keep coming back and friends they keep sending her way. She has been featured in a handful of publications and podcasts, and her work spans some of the most coveted addresses in South Florida: Jupiter Island, Palm Beach, equestrian properties in Wellington, and new construction from the ground up.
But credentials only tell part of the story. What clients talk about most, what they put in their reviews, what they mention when they refer a friend, is how working with Kelly feels. She listens the way not everyone does: to what you say and to what you mean. She asks the right questions. She brings ideas you wouldn't have thought of yourself and then makes them feel inevitable. And she manages every detail of a complex project with a calm, confident precision that makes the whole experience feel far easier than it has any right to be.
Born in New York and raised with a New Yorker's sense of style and pace, Kelly lived for years in Fairfield County, Connecticut before making Palm Beach County home. She is a member of Bear Lakes Country Club and the National Polo Center, deeply embedded in the community she serves. In her time away from projects, you'll find her on the golf course (self-described novice, endlessly optimistic), knitting something ambitious, cooking for people she loves, or at the polo grounds with Joe and their corgi..
She brings all of it — the taste, the joy, the warmth, the humor — to every home she touches.
